To deal with these challenges the Democrats present a history making nominee for president. History making in that he is the most liberal, most inexperienced nominee to ever run for President. Apparently they believe that he would match up well with the history making, Democrat controlled Congress. History making because it's the least accomplished and most unpopular Congress in our nation's history.

It's Friday Thank God,
According to Time, had the terrorist plot succeeded over 2700 people would have died. Planes would have been blown up in mid air. You can read the article here. (Time.Com). However thanks to “chatter” or intercepts of the group's communications that US intelligence provided to British authorities over 2700 people’s lives have been spared.
According to the far left and Republican Arlene Specter this is "domestic spying" and violates our civil liberties. Tonight the domestic wiretapping program has done its job. President Bush has said all along the domestic wiretapping program was to track terrorist only. The left along with Mr. Specter have done nothing but complain. The loony left and Arlene Specter should explain to the American people why intercepting the terrorist communications and saving over 2700 lives is wrong and explain how this has violated our civil liberties. We must know their intentions and plans in order to keep the American people safe. If intercepting their phone calls will prevent attacks then this is something we MUST do. Many liberals in congress and around the world would like to negotiate with terrorist. Have a dialogue with them, reason with them. You cannot negotiate, reason nor have a dialogue with a bunch of cold blooded killers.
Rudy Giuliani appearing on Hannity and Colmes Thursday night said it best. “You cannot negotiate with them. These are not people — they have demonstrated to us that they despise us. They hate us. They want to kill us. And they want to kill us because we're a modern society. They want to kill us because we give women rights. They want to kill us because we have freedom of religion. They want to kill us because we have elected officials. They want to kill us because we're modern and we can't give that up. What are we going to negotiate away? The rights for women? Are we going to negotiate; we're going to set up this Islamic state?”
I think this also underlined why the effort in Iraq is so important. Engaging the terrorists by being on offensive against them has kept us safe. And we're not going to be safe forever, and we are going to be attacked again.” America’s mayor went on to say. “We've improved but we are not at a level of — certainly not at a level of perfect safety. Probably never going to get there. And we're probably not going to be at the level that we should be. We still have to do more.
But the fact is that we should give some credit to our government. They have kept us safe. And honestly, Alan, I didn't think that was possible.
On September 11 or September 12, you would ask me — I think some people probably did — are we going to get attacked? We were preparing for numerous attacks over that short period and then well into the next couple of years.
Somehow, some way, we've been able to keep ourselves safe for this period of time. And I think some of that was just thank God and some of it, I mean, the policies of the government, including being on offensive against terrorism.”
Tonight I am sure the 2700 people who may have been on planes that were to be blown up in mid air would say, THANK YOU to US President George W Bush for not allowing the loony left and some in his own party to put an end to the domestic wiretapping program. Democrats do not want the American people to be reminded of how weak they are on national defense. They do not want us to be reminded that the best defense against terrorist attacks in the future is to be on offense.
Have a Great Weekend
